| This block of instruction
is an introduction to arrest and control procedures as well as
officer survival. Students are introduced to the most vulnerable
areas of the human body, and the personal weapons that they carry
with them at all times. |
 |
|
The techniques presented are
easy to learn and apply; practical and reasonable. Learn techniques
that are geared toward the mechanism of the attack rather than
the specific attack. Use the same techniques whether you are
defending against an armed or unarmed suspect or protecting
your weapon. Officers will learn simple methods to gain control
of a non-compliant suspect regardless of size.
"Brutality
begins where resistance ends"
|
 |
The techniques presented are designed
to allow officers to control a suspect without inflicting injury.
Officers will also receive training
in proper handcuffing techniques for both compliant and non-compliant
suspects. Basic weapon retention will also be covered.

and pitfalls.
