Modern
Belting System
Although a belt ranking system is not a traditional part
of Ju-Jitsu, Red Dragon Ju-Jitsu has adopted a modern belting system
to allow students to demonstrate achievement in the art. Students
will be advanced from 10th Kyu to 1st Kyu (White belt through
Brown belt), as they master the requirements for each belt rank. Shown
below are the rank requirements through Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt).

We will train our hearts and
minds for a firm unshaking spirit.
We will pursue the true meaning
of the Martial Way, so that in time our sences may be alert
With tru vigor, we will seek
to cultivate a spirit of self denial.
We will observe the rules of
courtesy, respect our superiors and refrain from violence.
We will be calm in mind and
swift in action.
We will pay homage to our creator
and never forget the true virtue of humility.
All our lives, through our art,
we will seek to fulfill the tru meaning of "The Way".
