Self Defense

When trajedy strikes, will you have the right insurance?

If a flood destroys your home, or a fire destroys all of your belongings, are you covered?

What about when an attacker strikes?  Have you invested in insurance for yourself?  Do you feel confident that you can protect yourself and your loved ones when it counts?

This world is a very dangerous place to live and grow up.  You can't turn on the news without hearing about another murder, or attack.  The criminals are starting out younger and younger.  Schools and institutions that were once considered safe, are now targets for urban terrorists.

What would it be worth to you to be able to:

·         Prevent an attack.

·         Safely escape an attack

·         Rescue a loved one from danger.

If you could buy insurance on your children, or parents that would protect them from becoming another victim, what would that be worth?

The good new is, there is insurance available, and it doesn't cost much. This insurance, however will require time, effort and commitment on your part.

Everyone should have some form of Self-Defense Training

There are many different types of self-defense training available. Select a school that will fit you. When you are searching for a school, these are some things to look for:

·         Does the program focus on preventing attacks?

·         Is the training realistic, or is it "non-contact"

·         Does the school provide instruction on the use of Personal Weapons?

·         If possible, talk to students that have taken the training.

Our program is broken down into three phases.

Phase I : Prevention.

Students will learn How, When, and Why most attack occur. By understanding criminal behavior, student learn how to become a "Hard Target". Students will learn how to become more aware of potential dangers.

Phase II : Controlling the Situation.

Students will learn techniques to break free from a possible confrontation. We begin working on break aways, and escapes from an unarmed attacker. In this phase, there is a low to medium threat level. Situation might include sexual harrasemnt, unwanted advancements, or the earliest stage of a full blown attack. Students have plenty of time and one-on-one instruction to become comfortable with each technique. Once the student feels ready, the realism and the intensity of the attacks increase.

Phase III is Fight or Flight

In this phase, student learn how to defend themselves in the midst of an attack. We focus on a hard, fast escape. We focus on very fast and highly effective techniques to take an attacker down and escape.

The techniques that students learn are selected from the Ju-Jitsu curriculum. Many are the very techniques taught to police officers and military special operations.

In addition to the self defense instruction, students will be trained in the proper use of Pepper Spray. We will discuss the pros and cons to pepper spray and how to use it effectively.

At the conclusion of the program, students will complete and hands-on final exam. Our staff of highly trained aggressors will attack students unexpectedly, and the student will have to react to the attack. Our attackers will wear full protective gear, and the students will be expected to defend themselves at full force.
